A man is in jail facing felony charges after attacking elderly people on the streets in Bankers Hill on Thursday morning.

The married victims died in their car Wednesday; their killer was fatally shot by Harbor Police a mile north about 45 minutes later.

The Menendez brothers are currently housed at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in Otay Mesa. NBC 7 was there on Thursday afternoon to take a look at life inside for the convicted killers.

Cardenas and her brother have been ordered Wednesday to pay more than $176,000 to the Small Business Administration and over $28,000 to the Employment Development Department.

Police said investigators are looking for witnesses and video of the incident, asking anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for the driver

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was convicted in San Diego federal court this week of taking bribes to allow drug-laden vehicles across the U.S.-Mexico border.
